First-cohort diary: my first trimester of the BBus at UOW GIFT City

Week 1 — orientation

Being part of the first cohort means everything is new — for us and for the university. Orientation was genuinely personal; the programme director sat with each of us individually.

Week 6 — mid-trimester

The workload ramped up quickly. Group projects mix students from different states, which has been the best part so far.

Week 11 — finals

Exams follow the Wollongong home-campus papers and marking scheme. It felt rigorous but fair. I would not trade the small-cohort experience for a larger campus.
