Privacy policy.
This notice explains how GlobalCampus India ("we", "us") collects and processes your personal data when you use globalcampus.in, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Who we are (data fiduciary)
GlobalCampus India is the data fiduciary for personal data collected on this platform. We operate an independent comparison and admissions-assistance service for UGC-approved international branch campuses (IBCs) in India. You can reach us at privacy@globalcampus.in.
What we collect and why (purposes of processing)
- Enquiry details — name, email, phone, education level, budget, and the universities you select on the enquiry form, so a counsellor can respond to your request.
- Application data — academic records, test scores, and documents you submit when you apply, so we can prepare and transmit your application to the universities you choose.
- Account data — sign-in credentials and role (student, agent, counsellor) to operate your account.
- Usage data — basic analytics to improve the platform, collected only with your consent where required.
Notice at collection
When you submit the enquiry form, you acknowledge this notice via a required checkbox. We record the acknowledgement time and the notice version (currently v2026-07) against your enquiry. We do not use your enquiry data for any purpose beyond responding to your enquiry and, if you proceed, assisting your application.
Retention
- Enquiries (leads) are retained for 24 months unless they convert into an application, in which case they are retained for the life of the application plus any period required by law.
- Enquiry PII is purged on request — ask us to erase your enquiry at any time (see "Your rights" below).
- Documents uploaded for applications are retained while your application is active and deleted when it is withdrawn or completed, subject to legal holds.
Cross-border disclosure
When you apply, your application packet is transmitted to the partner universities you selected, whose home campuses are in countries including Australia and the United Kingdom. Each transmission records the destination country and destination entity in our consent ledger, and happens only with your explicit consent at submission. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with any third party other than the universities you choose and the service providers who operate this platform under contract.
Your rights (data-principal rights)
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access — obtain a copy of your personal data. Signed-in students can self-serve a full export at any time via
GET /api/v1/students/me/data-export(the "Download my data" action in the student portal). - Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data; enquiry PII is purged on request.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our grievance officer (below).
- Nominate — nominate a person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@globalcampus.in.
Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@globalcampus.in or, for application-related transmissions, by withdrawing the application in the student portal. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed, but we will stop further processing and erase data we no longer need.
Grievance officer & redressal
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, contact our grievance officer at grievance@globalcampus.in. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within a 30-day redressal SLA, as required by the DPDP Act. The officer's name will be published here once formally designated.
